Acid and lignin-free storage box provides convenient, long-term storage of letter-size documents, magazines, manuscripts, prints and valuable collectibles. With reinforced corners, these boxes are solid and secure units that resist dust, dirt, and light infiltration. The board used to make this box is manufactured to United States National Archives and Records Administration's specifications. The pH is not less than 8.5 nor more than 10.2. It is sulfur free with a minimum 3% calcium carbonate buffer. The sheets are 60 point caliper made from fully bleached, alpha cellulose pulp. It is free of lignin, ground wood, waxes, plasticizers, reducible sulfur, oxidizing chemicals and potentially harmful non-cellulose. It is free of metal particles with a maximum 30 ppm Fe and .7ppm Cu. NOTE: Do not use to store animal based fabrics such as silk, leather or wool.
The natural tan dyed exterior and interior are light-fast and non-bleeding. These document storage boxes have a pull string on the end for shelf removal. Archival, letter-size file folders are available (See below or click here).
